The Tapo H100 is a compact smart hub that connects and coordinates your Tapo ecosystem—sensors, buttons, and other low-power accessories—over a long-range sub-1 GHz link, while using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to reach your home network and the Tapo app. It also includes a built-in chime/siren so it can double as a doorbell chime or audible alarm for automations and security alerts.

How It Works

Tapo sensors and buttons connect to the H100 over a low-power sub-1 GHz link (e.g., 868 MHz/922 MHz by region). The hub connects to your router via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and to the Tapo cloud/app. When a sensor triggers, the H100 can play a chime/siren, notify your phone, and run automations (e.g., turn on lights, toggle plugs).

Designed for Tapo sub-1 GHz accessories, including:

Note: Tapo Wi-Fi products (smart plugs/lights) pair directly to Wi-Fi and the Tapo app; they can still participate in automations that the H100 coordinates, but they do not join the hub’s sub-1 GHz network.

Setup (Quick Start)

1. Plug the H100 into a power outlet near your router.
2. Install/open the Tapo app and tap Add Device → Hubs → Tapo H100.
3. Follow the in-app steps to connect the hub to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
4. Pair Tapo sensors/buttons to the hub and assign rooms/names.
5. Create Smart Actions (automations) and choose chime/siren sounds and volumes.
